Yet another cowardly attack claims lives in France. Today we also here about the death of Lt-Col Arnaud Beltrame, 45; the gendarme helped bring an end to a gunman’s shooting spree in southern France yesterday. I am angry – very very angry – the same way I feel every time a similar incident happens anywhere in the world. It is anger that strengthens one’s resolve/determination to rid the world of these sick minds from the roots not just the symptoms; after all this is not just an issue of security and people on the firing line – this is the last line of defence; it’s more about policies/contributing factors that have existed for decades and continue to exist within and beyond our borders. Delay in addressing all these factors combined (based on our own terms/values) is NOT an option – this is indeed a real war and one that we cannot lose or be complacent in our defensive/offensive efforts. But for now let’s remember all who have fallen in this last incident and I can only send my deepest condolences/prayers to their families & friends; their memory will be engraved in our hearts/minds as source of Love & Strengths – and please let us NOT forget the trauma of people who lived through this terrible experience; Vive la France.
