This short clip tells you all you need to know about British politicians moving through the ranks of political parties and governments/departments by sheer political gusts of wind rather than any form of even basic competence levels in departments they’re supposed to lead, let alone when luck lands them at 10 Downing Street. I am not blaming Liz Truss herself but merely pointing as I have for that last 4 or more blogs of a rotten political system designed around corruption and nepotism. Britain can/should do better; we most certainly have the talents to deliver, it’s just that they’re not in the spotlight. I certainly hope Rishi Sunak or whoever succeeds him assembles a quality cabinet as the country can take no more experimentation; though I still believe that a General Election is the best way forward.
