A great match and one great effort from Croatia but eventually France prevails and it was not easy. Both teams played extremely well but the spirit was on Croatia’s side the first half. While watching commentary by football experts like Alan Shearer – yes that same expert who suggested England being ready to win the World cup pre the Belgium game – and Gary Lineker I was absolutely blown away with their view about the hand ball in the first half that turned into a French penalty suggesting it was a wrong judgement based on absolutely nothing & suggesting the referee had to make doubly sure – perhaps using psychic techniques – it was intentional. This when football rules say (as Gary read on the air) hand movement towards the ball is an indication. Anyway, it seems that being an expert nowadays seems more subjective than it used to be. Forgetting that mini-nugget I repeat my big congrats to France and commending Croatia for an excellent performance.
