So the view from Vanessa Neumann is that national sovereignty is not a matter to be considered where criminals – wherever they maybe – are concerned. Now thats an interesting perspective but does it also apply on criminals in the Mideast that have been indicted by the “International” Criminal Court’; just askin’.   As for her experience in the International Institute for Strategic Studies (the IISS) it is an indication – to me at least – that there is one “Tank” completely underwater. If you think about it and look closely into the credibility of those driving politics (or at least a big chunk of them) you will gradually come to the conclusion that politics is currently driven by corrupt ideologues who serve their clan and care about little else. In other words democracies being hijacked from within by those who care precious little about national security/interests. A situation thats NOT new, just ongoing so don’t you PANIC.

As for the gentleman suggesting America should not have tried to make the world a better place; here’s a different take:

I think you’re conflating 2 things; making the world a better place based on realties of that place or making the world a better place based on a distorted vision/special interests which in layman terms amount to foreign meddling. I am 100% with option 1 so long as it not transformed magically to option 2 and you philosophies/overcomplicate it the way want.

In other words don’t make a mess by intervention where you don’t understand the dynamics or history of the place/imposing solutions that don’t fit then come to say we failed cause we tried to make the world a better place. Makes sense??
