The term Leadership has been stretched/distorted to an extent there is no longer a universal definition to the term. So to help clear the waters a bit I would like to share this definition by the late Norman Schwarzkopf (1934-2012) former commander of the United States Central Command, who led coalition forces in the Gulf War of 1990-1991 and is a Vietnam war veteran. I really believe we need to go back to basics again in terms of values and personality traits in order for us to be better prepared to face up to future challenges. In other words looking back at lessons & leaders from history may provide the guiding light that we desperately need to help build –  or rebuild – a better future for us all.
