Today we mourn the death of former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan. Deepest Condolences to his family/friends, for Ghana, Africa and for the World for losing such a great politician. His life’s work that reflect his own values as well as his unblemished integrity live on; from spearheading peace keeping missions throughout the the world, to combating HIV to reforming the UN and launching The United Nations Global Compact initiative encouraging businesses worldwide to adopt sustainable and socially responsible policies; these are achievements that live on and touch many. May he Rest in Peace.

PS: Just watched Gordon Brown on Sky News paying tribute to Kofi Annan, then at the end refusing to answer a question about Labour antisemitism row because as he well articulates he’s there today to talk about/pay tribute to Kofi Annan. Well done Mr. Brown, there is a time/place to discuss these & other important matters and it was poor judgement by the news anchor to ask these questions in this situation.
