Truly sad to see Americans in this predicament but sadly it proves 3 things in my opinion; a) political choices within a rigged political system eventually end up as own goal irrespective of ideology b) feeding into the concept of divide-and-rule (the goto model for autocratic regimes) translates to disinformation/distorted narratives and eventually social breakdown c) the concept of America being the greatest democracy on earth and the promised land – these are not virtues to considered as a given/taken for granted – but to be protected/cherished otherwise they become meaningless soundbites and that’s precisely where the state of play is right now for the U.S. So the honest advice from this end would be along the lines of; stop complaining/feeling sorry for yourselves and start fixing the mess and by rebuilding / protecting your own democracy from internal/external powers/lobbyists that seek to supercharge your powers for all the wrong reasons and eventually end up hurting your own interests at every level. Where there are a few challenges there are plenty in the way of opportunities there to be grabbed.
