Truly saddened to hear the news of the passing away of Ex-Chancellor Alistair Darling a person who helped steady the ship after the 2008 global financial crisis. A methodical, talented and committed chancellor under the premiership of Gordon Brown, he served his country well in the most difficult of times. Condolences to his family & friends and may his memory live on as one of the most consequential civil servants of his time who served with loyalty and integrity. May he RIP.
