Sanction Israeli settlers again?! Didn’t than happen in 2024 or is the location difference what matters here/and what good has this achieved? How about government, trade, leaders? Nope, none of that, its much too on the nose, so to speak! Making a difference is NOT the point here, stonewalling pretty much is. I therefore believe that the only way forward is to take this conflict entirely off the EU table altogether and for a coalition of the willing – yes again I’m afraid – to take charge in pushing forth changes they see fit in dealing with a rogue state as a state because EU “leaders” for the most part are pretty much shackled from taking action for different reasons I mentioned before!! It seems to me that in this day-and-age for the EU to be functional on matters of critical foreign policy issues or even issues of global trade the only way forward is to bypass the EU structure which says plenty about the worthiness of such a bureaucracy on these issues; perhaps a more loose union could be a way forward but that’s for another discussion and expertise.

PS: I did however enjoy the construction of the post title (“the EU ‘finally’ sanctions'”…. and then it just slides down from there as if people may not notice…)
