If these statements about the judicial proceedings in the clip below are accurate the obvious follow up question would be; who the hell is running the country? It is one thing to have the political establishment compromised by foreign influence, but when considering that the judicial system may also be compromised (not to mention the police service as suggested in this clip; this clip then its a whole different ball game altogether. The obvious/proper way to settle this is to have a thorough investigation into these claims cause this is no longer a matter of politics but there is potential of foreign meddling, treasonous acts and the clearcut undermining of sovereignty, national security and democracy. I’ve written plenty about the threats of foreign meddling (not just in the UK but across the west) but this in my opinion takes an even more dangerous steep dive where core institutions of state are being compromised. This is not conflict or foreign state specific but a devastating threat wherever it comes from (but imagine if you will what would happen had Russia been the suspect in this situation). Forget about PR stunts about values, economy, foreign/security policy and such like and prioritise getting the house in order otherwise you may end up with policies that don’t actually reflect core national interest when the system is entirely rigged “from the outside!”.
