Music Break: The Mission (Gabriel’s Oboe) – Ennio Morricone
A whisper, then a conversation then a determined call. For me it’s kind of a human story that effortlessly touches the soul but to really get it you have to close your eyes and really listen. This particular composition in my opinion requires an arrangement that emphasis this evolving communication […]

The UK Post Office Scandal: The Price of Corporate Greed & Corruption
A truly disgraceful example of miscarriage of justice. The focus now in my opinion should be on 2 quite specific things; 1. Ensuring accountability is not brushed away with compensations to all victims who suffered heavy penalties for crimes they never committed due to corporate greed/corruption of the first order. […]

“Sensibly” Talking BREXIT After the Fact!?
Great stuff; talking sensibly about BREXIT after the fact! I guess the question of timing would be the first thing that comes to mind. But beyond this small technical issue the one thing we truly need is an honest conversation about the pro’s/con’s of BREXIT not just economically on but […]

GAZA – The IDF’s Precision Tactics Continue to Impress
The IDF’s tactical/precision strikes continue to impress; now its time yet again for the review of their popular procedural guide “The IDF excuse cookbook”. What is happening in GAZA is NOT a war in any sense of the term if we’re honest about it away from all political biases; that’s […]

Read More My Journey with the Trumpet: Je suis malade (Dalida)
Quite an emotional song originally performed by Dalida expressing her mental strain/agony during her life. The first time I watched an interview with her expressing such pain it was quite distressing especially when she was crying while the song played in the background. The moment I watched the entire song […]

Read More War in Ukraine? How are the Sanctions Going? Oh OK, Call Me Later!
French Pres. Macron said this week that the war in Ukraine is “existential” for France and Europe. The West can only gain the upper hand if it truly believes this—and acts on that belief. My take: pic.twitter.com/Ml1nF2Snds — Fareed Zakaria (@FareedZakaria) March 17, 2024 The sanctions policy to deal with […]

Read More UK Politics One-0-One; Why was Diane Abbott rejected at PMQs?
When racism is at the heart of a government led by someone of a migrant background; when governments by-design allow unelected financial minutemen/power-brokers to in-effect rule from the sideline without accountability; when rules of common decency are constantly ignored by the speaker of the house you may conclude that this […]

Read More Allies of Power (Cheap & Transactional) – Allies of Values (Strong & Sustainable) – Is This Really “Rocket Science”?
So the lesson I continue to repeat is simple; the west needs to brush up on their geopolitical strategy and begin developing the later using the largely abandoned soft-power as well as historical influence in many regions around the world, because in the midst of a conflict of ideologies the […]

Theresa May Stands Down in Next General Election – Another Unelected Leader Fades Away
While I do respect Theresa May as an honourable politician I’ve always had problems with unelected leaders crashing at No. 10 without public scrutiny, selection and debate. This archaic system must change and the “British Democracy” as Sir Humphrey Appleby once called it must finally evolve even if it means […]

Read More Ignoring Regional Conflicts; There’s An Associated Price Tag
Some may think the main impact of regional conflicts is mass migration. This may have been the case decades ago when the cost of waging unconventional warfare was both ineffective and prohibitive. Sunak Warns ‘Democracy A Target’ – I Do So Agree, But You’re Part of the Problem
For the first time ever I do so agree with Rishi Sunak; Democracy is indeed a target. It is a target; When people have no direct say in selecting/removing their leaders When narrow ideologies/lobbyists drive the national/international agenda When an archaic governance model continues to be a drag on political/institutional […]
Read More Israel Faces Mounting Pressure to Investigate Gaza Food aid Deaths – Hang On, Who’s Investigates Who?
Here’s my take; Calling on Israel to investigate this incident and many many others as party in an ongoing/bloody conflict and with its dismal human rights track record is wilful whitewash of these western powers who just want a way to clean their hands of these atrocities. But then I […]

Read More Democracy & Authoritarianism: Is the West heading East?
Is the West heading East? Is that the ultimate solution to its challenges or is it merely a sloppy/ignorant solution to exaggerated failures promoted by extremist ideologies for purely political purposes. The kind of failures that in reality point to 1 fundamental/real failure; the lack of fully comprehending the real/undistorted […]
