Some may know that I am a HUGE fan of James Last and his incredible orchestra from previous postings. It was through his musical interpretations that I decided to play the trumpet. Though I do know most if not all his work, I came across this piece recently which is one I’ve not heard before. It’s a great example of his work for the trumpet; tremendously difficult to play yet – in my view a true sprint and consider if you will the small issue of synchronisation alone – great music, so decided to share in case some may like it; a bit too far for me to play but will try anyway. Hope you enjoy, particularly if you’re like me a trumpet fan!
PS: Hmmm, I suspect the reason I haven’t watched this piece performed much by the orchestra is that the trumpeters lost too much breath and threatened to strike if there was a repeat performance 🙂
