Great analysis in this clip. The problem is that we’re at a point/time where action to save lives is more urgent than analysis and matters of history. The way I feel is that there should be a firm international intervention – would be great if led my country’s in the region – via peace keeping boots on the ground to act as a buffer between Palestinians and Israel as a practical initiative to help protect civilians before they perish physically or mentally as seems to be the strategy. Europe in coordination with the United Nations can also take a lead role in this regard as a first step in resurrecting it’s leadership/influence in a region it has plenty in the way of historical connections with as well as one that has the capacity/resources to be a more solid long term economic partner. This is not a controversial step but one primarily developed to help save lives NOW – there is no war going on there now but seems to be a systematic annihilation of a people – until meaningful negotiations for a 2 state settlement commences; a step that can help make up for decades of miscalculations and the accountability of some nations for the mess we see today but can hardly imagine how it feels to experience.
