Is this modern day slavery? Is this Meloni’s vision on fighting migration yet allowing them to be abused in this manner to help feed the population or do other menial chores irrespective of their security/dignity? There are 2 options here in my opinion; either stop supercharging the fight on migration and be more pragmatic and humane about issue rather than using racist talking points or stop using migrants altogether for these jobs if you can’t fully support/protect them.
