You know what the truly sad part in all of this which bothers me; its that the EU is standing by shackled – no meaningful inputs just verbal/inconsequential outputs for a union hoping to lead, but the question would be who’d care follow. I certainly hope this changes quickly but in this current state of the union I don’t see it happening where dominant policies when things get tricky are 1 of 2; a) activating the ‘sanctions’ ticketing machine or b) diversion to anything else that gets people excited and engaged like ‘immigration’, the far right, ai and anything else where there is some movement to get people emotionally involved. OK, lets ‘play’ but to lead/have real leverage in this world its for a far fetched ‘day’, wouldn’t you say?? So dream on…..
