While Iran war continues raging on the EU headed by chief merz are standing still, holding hands and praying with plenty in the way of wishful thinking cause they can’t wait to start focusing on bonbons and chocolate bars again (aka the economy). You see ignoring calls that many have pointed to – myself included – of the threat of a middle east conflicts boiling over was not so clever after all, particularly considering Europe’s reliance and proximity to the region. Now when the ‘dust’ hits the fan you don’t just stare it away, you do something meaningful if you really insist to be meaningful as an entity (or even a nation for that matter) cause it’s a matter of national security. And by the way when I say doing something meaningful it means doing it now NOT planning new aircraft carriers which is intended as a distraction to suggest (hey, we’re taking this seriously, look how beautiful a new aircraft carrier will be!!). As for chief merz he certainly commands a sense of presence in these kinds of settings in the clip but unfortunately he represents a generation with a psyche shackled in the past by past experiences rather than present realities. Rather than taking lessons of the past and committing to universal principals in upholding values / protecting international law at all cost; it’s about repeating the past but taking a different role in it. I truly hope that many in Germany begin to understand the scam – particularly the new generation – and begin making amends because it is not issue/conflict specific matter but a self-defeating strategy that has a cost at every level; we’re starting to see signs of that cost but do keep an open mind of the final bill.
