This and other consequential conflicts were not inevitable but are consequences of misjudgment and allowing foreign/foreign backed narratives to guide matters of national security; this combined with ignorance/arrogance which is kinda weird when considering the large budgets and the amount of personnel dedicated specifically to assessing such matters. In brief there’s no excuse where there’s an abundance of expertise at the disposal of European leadership; this is after all not what one would consider as rocket science formula -> ignoring conflicts in consequential regions >= “dumb”.
