History in my opinion has always been about one of 2 options we take;

  1. Learn/Face up/Resolve
  2. Watch/Turn away/Ignore

If we are genuinely keen on developing as a global community in an interconnected global landscape we need to have a razor sharp/far reaching vision (as opposed to a blurred one) – like in photography the concept of “hyperfocal depth of field” – so that we can finally absorb/deal with challenges after having identified their undistorted/genuine context. In other words we need to face up to current challenges with an eye on the future in that interconnected world we call “home”; sloppy “short-termism”should be tossed out the window forever.

Just a thought.
