Glenda Jackson was not just a brilliant…brilliant actress, and her many awards provide evidence of the passion she projected throughout her acting performances; but it was that same kind of passion that allowed her to be a fierce politician/advocate for social justice – truly a remarkable life that few have the capacity/sense of duty to experience in a lifetime. I still remember her role in the 1971 movie Mary Queen of Scots; a truly mean-spirited character yet someone with the capacity/cunningness that captures your soul. I mourn her death today but I as many others do also celebrate her life and I hope/suspect she will be remembered for a long time to come not only because of what she achieved both as a great actress and fierce politician, but equally important for what she stood for and that in of itself speaks volumes. May she RIP and always be remembered.
