Now

and Then (look for more on Youtube)

It’s truly amazing how the west seems to have gone full circle in terms of promoting  isolationist policies the likes that we’ve seen pre-WWII. Isolationist policies that had they been successful Europe would be an utterly different place than what we see today; in fact the entire world would be unrecognizable.  The conventional wisdom of “Isolationism” protecting western interests and its citizens is actually/literally exposing the west to global geopolitical chasms – funny enough and in many cases created by western greed and foreign meddling through former colonialism and now the current push for neocolonialism while missing a cardinal point; there is no such thing as a free lunch and living in a bubble is unsustainable particularly in an increasingly interconnected world and a completely different demographic landscape (love it or loath it). The only slight hope I’m beginning to notice are recent signs of the new generation finally kicking in and taking charge of their future after the mess we’ve created – and a BIG apology from my end for that…… I’ve been hoping/calling for such a move in many of my posts – ever since I began posting – but was focused entirely on encouraging the new generation within the political establishment to take charge but it seems that their experiences within that establishment loaded them with old baggage which is a big shame. But now there is a trend that suggests Generation Z is intent on smashing the status quo which is both hopeful and refreshing even if mistakes happen along the way because change needs to happen and experiences needs to be gained.
