This threat is not news and yet we see little in the way of assessing/mitigating the risks by governments. They seem to be distracted by the benefits/fascinated by the opportunities and are spending much less time in understanding/preparing for the risks in the fast/haphazard way the technology is being implemented despite many high profile experts warning of the issues to be expected if we continue down this path. This is one technology where self-regulation would be catastrophic at so many levels.
