Oh I’m sorry, who’s being humiliated Chancellor Merz?

German chancellor says US has ‘no strategy’ in Iran | DW News

Here’s the gist of the argument of the German Chancellor and my brief response; well not too brief – not my style 🙁

1. To go in you have to go out again: Is that it, that’s concern of the German chancellor? No considerations about how to go in, implications/protections of international law, not part of the deal? Same question for Venezuela and what about Greenland? Does merely having a strategy for an unprovoked attack sufficient in your opinion?

2. Tehran humiliating the US: In actual fact in my opinion Iran is humiliating not just the U.S but Europe as well, make no mistake about it. Here’s a continent holding hands while watching a consequential region being demolished on their watch and directly impacting their own economies yet they sit tight closing eyes/praying it ends rather than intervening forcefully to de-escalate and in the process begin to gain some credibility as a union independently from an unhinged U.S administration. This is the state of a union seeking to lead in a new order being redefined?

Look I love this continent; I love each nations unique culture, its diversity, ingenuity and its values. However many of these are being chipped away due to what I believe to be weak leadership, corruption and foreign meddling. Europe desperately needs a new vision with a clear set of pragmatic objectives, benchmarks and protections so as to move forward because the world has changed dramatically from even just a few years ago. Economic and national security are key pillars of course but far from the only ones as many seem to suggest in statements and actions. The real question is this; can the old guard with their old baggage deliver that change? Not sure but the signs are not good!
