The Iran War and the Tricky Stand

It’s Not Our War’: Norway PM Warns Middle East Conflict Impacting Europe

Mark Carney and indeed many European leaders to their credit are crystal clear on protecting international law, sovereignty and integrity….that is for Greenland. For Iran it gets a bit tricky; many western leaders like Mr. Carney standing in the side cheering/clapping for US intervention against the repressive Iranian regime but with the warm/heartfelt support for the Iranian people (and not to forget the Venezuelan people of course in that episode) where the country is being destroyed and their historic sites being decimated for no reason whatsoever especially considering the advances in negotiations before the attack + the real reason behind the attack that everyone knows well. It kinda reminds me of the WWII Pearl Harbour attack where Japan declared war on the US & British empire after the attack had already begun (but not an error in the Iran situation-just a lesson from the past). So here’s the deal; if Mr. Carney & friends support an act that they would probably define as a matter of national security (cause the way they frame it, it most certainly is) then its cowardly not to contribute to the effort in full, not half-heartedly. On the other hand if you talk sovereignty/integrity and international law it is equally cowardly to cheer and clap and NOT take a clear stand against it ‘period’. So dearest clever/sleek western leaders, what is your stand or should we all contribute in buying you one from IKEA, or perhaps this is a good option with fast delivery/well priced.
