Revelations about Noam Chomsky’s Relation with Epstein

What Was Chomsky Thinking?

No sugar coating it this is truly shocking. I’ve followed, watched and read his books for years and to me – as I’m sure to many others – he’s one character that projected unquestionable integrity; a view shared by people irrespective of their ideology. But here’s a couple of points to make; a) a man with his influence and consistently exemplary track record particularly when it comes to issues pertaining to defending human rights and protecting the most vulnerable from excessive powers of the state it would be right/proper not to jump on the media/social media bandwagon of tarnishing his reputation without giving him all the space necessary to respond b) my hunch having listened to the content of his letter to Epstein in 2019 is that he – as a close friend – genuinely assumed that the man was innocent and the accusations where nothing more than a witch-hunt. I truly don’t see Noam Chomsky – based on his long standing political activism in defending the most vulnerable – that he would knowingly continue with his relationship with Epstein had he known for sure that these actions would turn out to be for real. Also note that so far and post that email sent in 2019 I’ve heard nothing to indicate Chomsky’s continued support for Epstein, perhaps an indication of him realising the black side of Epstein and trying to distance himself from the man. Of course this is all conjecture but I hope Noam Chomsky before long can come out with a statement on the matter because both he and people that have followed him for years deserve a public clarification; so for me subject closed and I reserve judgement until that happens.
