Whenever a democratic state becomes blindsided from its core values; either due to its own self interest or the interest of foreign rogue states you know for a fact that you’re in the ballpark of a dysfunctional democracy. However, when that state goes a step further of engaging/supporting genocide, while the political establishment is mostly compromised through foreign political meddling/funding by foreign lobbies which leads to what I call “political indoctrination” while state media (which should be the breathing space) and consequential businesses are controlled/owned by people with suspect allegiances then that state ceases to be a dysfunctional democracy and is transformed to a dysfunctional state.
