First time to know about South Tyrol (Südtirol) German ethic majority and how under the Fascist period Bolzano was reversed to be predominantly of Italian majority. As for this clip, I agree on most points made by Jeffrey Sachs except the point about Russian occupation of Ukraine under any pretence, and Europe standing up for Ukraine. Obviously I wish Europe’s attitude would be consistent in similar conflicts like in Palestine. I also very much agree about Europe’s passiveness and its blind support for US actions as nothing but a sloppy/misguided approach that was developed through the years when the US was a genuine ally and was doing most of the heavy lifting in terms of defending Europe – back in the day when there was a form of alignment of interests – a timeline where Europe grew complacent and forgot (or ignored) the fact that it is the most vulnerable when US actions go over the top.
