Alice Weidel Talks “National Interest” (but I have a few ‘simplistic’ questions)

Right off the bat let me begin by emphasizing how inspiring it is watching the leading opposition figure in Germany and one aspiring to lead the next German government repeating talking points of Donald Trump word for word about Zelensky not being the right person and the need for elections  now, and the idea that Ukraine cannot win “period”. So her approach is something along the lines of “well, he’s just saying…….” –  thats the simple answer from what seems to be a simple mind of a leading German politician, which by itself says a lot about her “leadership” style; it’s a shame the host didn’t ask her directly whether these were actually her own views as well, and I am sure her answer would have also started with that sweet “well……..” she emphasized in the interview. Now with my questions for the part about “National Interest” in this interview and I’m posing them without comment and people can research context of my questions to their hearts content-mostly related to historical facts. So when she talks national interest what I would ask is whether its the same national interest of Charles Lindbergh who opposed the US getting involved in the fight against Nazi Germany pre WWII (link to my post on that below), or the same national interest that drove British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain to hail the signing of the Munich agreement in 1938 as the “peace for our time” an agreement that required Czechoslovakia to give up land and become militarily exposed, or perhaps the national interest that shackled Europe from effectively intervening in the Nazi “salami tactics” of western infiltration, prior to the US entering the war in 1941..

Let me be crystal clear; no one wants war and everyone seeks a fair compromise but not on the basis of ceding sovereignty/territory or resources and thats my stance whether this involved Russian aggression or US governments abuse of power in Ukraine by demanding it sign special deals for its mineral resources (not rocket science). More importantly someone who does not understand/appreciate lessons of history and is willing to distort the concept of national interest for political reasons and willing to fold under pressure is not someone I would personally take seriously even as a low level politician let alone  leading a nation like Germany (which would be catastrophic) not merely from an ideological stand point but from a political standpoint cause ideology is the ultimate driver for such people not common sense or any form of values.
