The reason for this brief post is to record a tweet I posted on twitter commenting on a video clip by journalist/LBC radio presenter James O’Brien speaking to a caller on his reason for voting to leave the EU; I feel it is important enough to re-post on my blog site when discussing BREXIT and more importantly when discussing our future as a nation. I will not rehash my tweets but merely link to them below and would encourage people to view the video clip. The only thing I would like to add here is that we as a country need to know that the UK has indeed changed and we need to come to terms with the fact that even if we shut down the immigration doors right now we are turning into a browner country. So we need to consider restructuring our questions from; How do we get back our country/protect our identity as a predominantly white society, to; How can we as a multicultural society do a better job at integration and making common sense adjustment to our immigration policy so that we can reap the benefits of our diversity and emphasis/protect our common identity.
So here are the tweets;
When we complain about racism/racist & before being hyper critical of these people we need to first address subsequent gov failures in addressing immigration/integration issues. That’s really were the buck stops; flawed policies or lack there of is the central problem.

So “Steve” though I happen to be a person of colour & British – pure coincidence of course – I don’t blame you for your views and just wish more was done to allay your anxiety about identity and such, mate.
